The Raven

Another one from my week at Edinburgh zoo!

A common raven (Corvus corax) also known as the northern raven, these guys are much bigger than you would expect up close! They have been known to have life spans of up to 21 years! They mate for life and each pair defends their own area of territory, they are very intelligant, and can mimic sounds from their environment including human speech.
