Description
This is one of the few California Sea Lions (Zalophus californianus) at Chessington zoo, which do small shows during the day, this one was taking just as they were breaching to touch the ball, which is learn through target training!
They are natives of America's Pacific coast, California Sea Lions are found in large groups and sometimes five as deep as 200 meters to catch their prey, they give birth to a single pup and have a lifespan up to 20 years old.
